Tämän päivän, pienen prinsessamme kotiinsaapumispäivän halusin kuvailla yksittäisenä tapahtumana, aamusta iltaan. Muistaa joka ainoan hetken ja kertoa sen myös teille...

28. maaliskuuta, The Big day

Suuri päivä koittaa! Oma Prinsessamme on vihdoin tulossa kotiin pitkän odotuksen jälkeen. Uni ei juuri tullut silmään joten valmistauduimme aamulla ajoissa matkaan. Vauvakassi onkin odottanut valmiina jo tovin...

Today is the day. Our Princess is finally coming. Did not sleep very well, so got up early and started to get ready for the Big Trip. Nursery bag is ready to go. Has been for a while...

Blanket. Check. Collar. Check. Leash. Check. Towels. Check. Goodies. Check. Water and the bowl. Check.

Viime hetken ostokset

Jännittyneinä matkan tekoon. Matkalla lentokentälle oli pakko pysähtyä vielä Ideaparkissa. Siellä piipahdimme Fifi & Fido -myymälään hankkimaan Prinsessallemme vielä uusi peite sekä lelu. Pitää neidillä oma lelu olla, tuskin itsellään on mitään mukaan pakattuna.
Saatiin vielä mukavalta omistajarouvalta sekä Security-koira Nelliltä tervetuliaisherkku Prinsessalle. Kovin ystävällistä!


On our way to the airport just had to make a stop to a shopping center in Lempäälä. I knew there´s a shop we MUST go. Fifi & Fido. So nice and clean, good product range and kind owner. Not to mention the Security-Dog, Nelli the Poodle.
Bought a nice blanket to our Princess and a toy, her first toy. We also got a welcome-gift to her from the owner. Thank you for that!

Koiranilma

Mikä keli! En kutsuisi koiranilmaksi kuitenkaan... nyt ollaan niin positiivisella koira-asialla liikkeellä että keliä en sillä nimeäisi. En tätä keliä ainakaan.

The weather is fine. Not. In Finland we call this kind of weather the Dog´s weather. Don´t know about that. For me a dog is always something positive. Especially now.
 

Terminal 2

Saapuvat.Terminaali 2.  Jättää  pysyvän kauniin jäljen sydämeen.Vielä 10 min laskeutumiseen. Jännittää. Miten se pieni kestää. Mies epäili että paremmin kuin tuleva emäntänsä....

Will always remember with a special warmth - Arrivals T2.    It´s 13.05. 10 minutes till landing... Sooooooo excited. How is she gonna take the landing... probably better than me.  

 

 

 Waiting...

Tuleva äiti odottaa... jännittyneenä. Niinhän ne äidit yleensä. Oli kiva odotellessa rupatella muiden rescue-ihmisten kanssa. Se rauhoitti. Minua. Ei ehkä heitä...

Mom is nervously waiting. It was good to meet the other to-be-rescue-dog-owners. They were excited too.. I just tend to speak double as much as usual when nervous. Sorry folks...

Tuleva isäkin on jännittynyt odottaessaan. Ei vain tuo sitä ulos jatkuvalla höpöttelyllä kuten tuleva äiti..
Dad´s excited too. And waiting. He just doesn´t talk so much while waiting.

 

The Dog has landed

Vihdoin! Ja ihan ajallaan! Lento KL1167 Amsterdamista tuo pakettimme Bukarestista. Karvatassut puretaan aina viimeisenä.

Finally! It has landed - the plane I mean - and our Princess with it. KL1167 from Amsterdam, landing time 13.15. Right in time.  Now we still have to wait a little bit more for the dogs to be taken out from the aircraft...They will be last ones to come out of those doors...

 

And then - finally - here she comes!

Sitten yhtäkkiä. Ovet aukeavat vielä kerran ja pitkä odotuksemme palkitaan, kuten synnärillä! Rescue-koirat saapuvat ja meidän pieni rakas hännänpäänä. Vielä hetki ja saan hänet syliini.

Then. Suddenly. The doors open one more time. And our little baby comes out along with the other rescuees. Expectation and labor. Yes. That´s how this all has felt like. Can´t wait to have her in my arms.

I can see her now!

Voi luojani... siellä pieni valkoinen pää vilkahti.  Suloinen pieni rakas. Ajatus siitä mitä kaikkea tuo pieni on juuri kokenut ja tieto siitä että pian saan hänet syliini saa itkun purkautumaan. Ei voi mitään... Tuokaa lapsi minulle!

Oh my.. I can see her now. She´s so beautiful. And she´s so near. Just the thought of what she´s been throug and knowing I can soon have her in my arms makes me burst into tears. I´m so overwhelmed. Please give her to me!

 

 To hold her and to love her

Eläköön elämä ja yö! Minusta tuli äiti. Prinsessamme on vihdoin täällä. Suloinen pieni aarre. Kultakimpale. Rakastamme ja hellimme sinua koko sydämestämme. Kiitos kaikille jotka tekivät tämän mahdolliseksi; Onevet clinic, Oana, Kulkurit, Jenni, KLM... Olemme teille paljosta velkaa.

Joy to the world! I´m a mom! Our Princess is here! Our precious. Sweet honey pie. Little gold nugget. Did I say precious already? We will love you and cherish you till the end of our days.Thank you Onevet clinic, thank you Oana, thank you Kulkurit and Jenni, thank you KLM. We owe you.

Fell in love with Finnish sausage already at the airport. Yummy! Gimme mooore of that. Now human.

Going home

Pieni matkustaja on kovin väsynyt aikaisesta aamusta ja stressaavasta lennosta Bukarestista Helsinkiin Amsterdamin kautta. Vielä olisi 3 tunnin ajomatka kotiin. Alkumatka menee ujostellessa ja hämmennyksissä. Pikkuinen käpertyy nukkumaan takapenkillä viereeni varautuneesti selkä päin. Mutta matkan taittuessa hivuttautuu hiljalleen lähemmäs kunnes viimein painaa päänsä polvelleni ja huokaisee syvään. Voi pieni rakas, tästä meidän yhteinen elämä alkaa 

Princess is sooo tired from the flight. No wonder. She´s had an early wake up in the morning in Bucharest and a stressful flight. And yet there´s a 3 hour car drive ahead. She starts the car trip shy and confused. Then she turns her back on me and starts to sleep. But as the time passes she slowly starts to move towards me until finally she lays her head on my knee.

 

Home Sweet Home

Kotini on linnani. Mummonmökki paremminkin. Prinsessat ansaitsisivat enemmän mutta ei meillä ole linnaa tai kartanoa tarjota.. Laitetaan etsintään. Vaikka tässäkin taitaa olla sulattelemista. Rankka päivä takana, paljon uusia asioita ja muutoksia ja nyt pitäisi vielä astua tuon kynnyksen yli. Siihen vaadittiin aikaa, kärsivällisyyttä - ja muutama makkaranpala. Askel askeleelta, hitaasti mutta varmasti uteliaisuus voitti...

Here we are finally. At home with our Princess. Not a castle or mansion. It´s just a small cottage. Princesses serve more but we hope this will do.
Many new big things for a small dog for one day and yet one more big step to come. To get over the doorstep. It took time and patience - and few pieces of sausage to convince her. Slowly but surely... Step by step...

  Earth Houring with new family

Heipat täältä! Kaikki on nyt hyvin. Vietetään kuulkaas äipän ja iskän kanssa Earth Houria, töllöt ja somet on kiinni ja kynttilät palaa. Luulenpa että täällä minun on hyvä olla. Hi there folks! Everything´s right now. We are spending Earth Hour with mom and dad. Candles and all. I know I´m gonna like it here....

 Nighty night

  Eka yö uudessa kodissa. Oma peti, oma peitto, ja ihan äipän vieressä. Turvallinen olo...saa uni tulla.   First night in my new home. Own bed and own blanket, right next to mom. I feel safe now. I´ll see you tomorrow.
